The canvas is stretched over a raised frame made of paper and LED lights attached to the stretcher bars. A hole cut into the canvas reveals a small interior space lit by the LED lights and lined with spray painted paper.

A poem by Edna St Vincent Millay is written in graphite on the paper: "My candle burns at both ends; It will not last the night; But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends— It gives a lovely light!"
